Bethany Rodriguez

Young Black Girl 

Bethany is a 12 years old dancer in the 7th grade. She started competition dancing in kinder & 1st grade. This season, She is a member of the pre-professional company, Houston Contemporary 2. She performed in the Nutcrackers with Bay Area Houston Ballet and Theatre & the Houston Urban Nutcracker. She has attended dance summer intensives at Debbie Allen Dance Academy in L.A., New Orleans Ballet Association, and Ballet Austin. She plays the younger version of the Black American woman in Interference.

"Dance has always been my passion. I love to dance because it gives me a way to express my feelings when I'm sad or happy. I hope to become a professional dancer as my career. I joined this project because it's a new experience for me and it has a good message."
