LydRock is an internationally known choreographer and creative entrepreneur based in Houston, TX. Born in Tema, Ghana, raised in New York and Fort Worth, She is currently a leading force in the Afrobeats dance movement, and style in the United States. She has performed and toured with some of Africa's biggest stars including Mr. Eazi, Tiwa Savage, Wizkid, Dbanj, Patoranking, and Tekno. She has also graced the stages of Coachella, SXSW, A3C Festival, One Africa Music Fest, Afrimma Awards, and the Umoja Festival to name a few. Her ‘Anyhow’ dance video has over 6.3 Million views and an unending stream of reposts. In 2018, She was the associate choreographer for the sold-out stage production ‘What Had Happened Was...An Afro Urban Musical’. Her creative mission is to showcase black pride in a tasty, cultural way and bridge the gaps amongst people of African descent through dance, style, and vibes. As a designer, stylist, and creative director, she is inspired by high fashion runway, hip hop music, movies, and culture. Currently, She manages her 'AfriRock' dance label, co-directs PlayLST, a performance platform for independent artists, works as CEO of Nova co. a professional booking agency for dancers, and manages @rockstylesnow, a purveyor of custom made ready to wear, and select vintage and thrift finds.
