and gray because it can be thought of as something... um... dull and like... uh...in-between. When we talk about gray areas, that means there are less clear distinctions. And so... I think, especially for these two characters, what might be lost, is that... when they are in this moment, there is no clear distinction on what thoughts are the ones they have been influenced by, and what are their actual feelings and thoughts... towards each other.
